Casual Relief Teacher

Braemar College is an independent co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5-12. The College has two campuses both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.

The successful candidate will experience working in one of the most unique educational settings and teach committed and passionate students.

Position:

Braemar College is seeking enthusiastic casual relief teachers mainly for our Middle School campus where Year 5 to 7 are taught. There will be a combination of pre-arranged casual teaching in addition to the possibility of short notice requirements if you are available to do so.

You will commence during Term 1 2026.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

• Undertake replacement classes and or duties for absent teachers.
• Provide quality learning and teaching experiences for students.
• Participate in student wellbeing program if required.
• The ability and preparedness to undertake practical classes in Health and Physical Education would be an advantage.

• Demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people, including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
• Show a willingness and the capacity to contribute to the well-being of students.
• Be prepared to participate in co-curricular activities.
• Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces.
• Be a current VIT registered teacher.

The College's casual relief teaching rate is $475; half days are also possible.
